ULTRASOUND IN KINESIOLOGY

The Ultrasound in Kinesiology specialty Interest Group (GIE-Chile) was officially established on October 3, 2023. It was born as a concern and dream of a group of Chilean kinesiologists from various clinical areas, with the purpose of guiding, consolidating and validate this kinesiological assessment tool in the Chilean healthcare context. Supported by the College of Kinesiologists of Chile and united with the “International Society for Electrophysical Agents in Physiotherapy” (ISEAP) of the World Physiotherapy (WP), it seeks to bring together and consolidate the meeting of kinesiology professionals with an interest in the development of this important resource. within the kinesiological care process in our country along with promoting its responsible, safe and efficient use. Along with this, it aims to promote the exchange of knowledge, research and interdisciplinary work as strategies for the development of this assessment tool. The GIE-CHILE aims to be a reference in the use and promotion of ultrasound within the kinesiological process in Chile, in the standardization and unification of criteria in the area. As well as participate and promote links with related societies around the world.
